About Us
Poynton Players performs 4 productions each season that runs from November through to June. We present a balanced selection of comedies, dramas and thrillers.
Poynton Players has been presenting plays in Poynton since October 1936 and in the current theatre building since 1949 which of course has seen extensive improvements over the years. We now have excellent facilities including a large stage, state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, a comfortable 102 seat auditorium with audio loop facility and air conditioning. We also have a well-appointed foyer area with bar facilities.
The Theatre building and facilities are available to hire at very reasonable rates. Please contact the Society’s Secretary by email to discuss your requirements.

Disabled Access and Parking
There is one wheelchair space available in the auditorium, which must be booked in advance; there is easy access to all areas of the theatre including suitable WC facilities. We have six ‘Blue Badge’ parking spaces available on site; we politely notify patrons that these spaces are on ‘First come, first served’ basis and cannot be reserved.
An audio loop is fitted in the auditorium.
